SILKSCREEN

LKY: An Icon and a Legend (2012-13) series was a tribute to the late Minister Mentor Lee Kwan Yew of Singapore. The artist was inspired by Andy Warhol’s treatment of images of global icons using silkscreen. Sukeshi created on over 70 original mixed media silkscreen artworks. The artist deliberately repeated the same image of a young Lee Kwan Yew in varied compositions. Her solo exhibition LKY: An Icon and a Legend was held on the 91st birthday of Mr. Lee Kwan Yew. The artworks were also exhibited at solo shows, group shows, and art fairs and auctions in 2013-15
